BioScript™ is a Moloney Murine Leukaemia Virus (MMLV) Reverse Transcriptase possessing low RNase H activity and high sensitivity. BioScript is suitable for first-strand cDNA synthesis, cDNA library construction and the production of cDNA for PCR analysis of gene expression.

Features & Benefits

  • Stable - for long genes and rare transcripts
  • Highly sensitive - for enhanced cDNA yield
  • High quality cDNA - ideal for PCR
  • Broad temperature range - for RNA with secondary structure

Applications

  • First strand cDNA synthesis for PCR
  • cDNA library construction
  • mRNA 5’ end mapping by primer extension
  • Dideoxynucleotide sequencing
  • End-labelling of DNA

Description

BioScript™ is a Moloney Murine Leukaemia Virus (MMLV) Reverse Transcriptase, which exhibits high stability and is active over a wide range of temperatures with no loss of activity following 1 week at room temperature. Unlike the wild-type enzyme, BioScript possesses low RNase H activity, which results in enhanced yields (Fig. 1 & 2). In addition, BioScript is highly sensitive even when the amount of template is a limiting factor.

BioScript is suitable for first-strand cDNA synthesis, cDNA library construction, and the production of cDNA for PCR analysis of gene expression. BioScript can be used with total RNA, mRNA or in-vitro transcribed RNA.
