PolyMate is a proprietary additive for use in reactions involving any thermostable DNA polymerase. PolyMate dramatically improves reaction specificity and is ideally suited for difficult or 'dirty' templates with GC or AT rich DNA, repetitive sequences, or sequences with a high level of secondary structure.

Features & Benefits

  • High yield - dramatically improves PCR specificity and yield
  • Universal - compatible with all commercially available thermostable DNA polymerases
  • Robust - useful for difficult templates
  • Reduces smearing and background - ideal for low copy templates

Description

PolyMate is a proprietary additive for use in reactions involving any thermostable DNA polymerase. Designed to dramatically improve reaction specificity, PolyMate provides an optimized composition of reagents and is ideal for difficult or dirty templates with GC or AT rich DNA, repetitive sequences, or sequences with a high level of secondary structure.

PolyMate is supplied at 2x concentration and acts as a melting agent by allowing the DNA polymerase and oligonucleotides greater access to the template DNA.

PolyMate does not contain magnesium, dNTPs, or buffer components. In some cases, it may be necessary to optimize the magnesium concentration.

Notes

PolyMate should not be used in combination with any other additives for PCR.
