Taq DNA Polymerase is a thermostable DNA polymerase that can withstand prolonged incubation at high temperatures without a significant loss of activity. Ta is purified from Thermus Aquaticus and is widely used in assays for molecular biology.

Description

Taq DNA Polymerase is a thermostable DNA polymerase that can withstand prolonged incubation at high temperatures without a significant loss of activity.

Taq is purified from Thermus Aquaticus and is widely used in assays for molecular biology. Taq reaction products contain 3´ adenosine residues and are ready for TA cloning.

Specificity and performance of Taq can be further improved with the use of 2x PolyMate Additive (supplied separately, see associated products) which is designed for GC or AT rich DNA, "dirty" templates or sequences with difficult melting profiles.

Storage & Stability

All components should be stored at -20°C upon receipt for optimum stability. Repeated freeze/thaw cycles should be avoided.

When stored under the recommended conditions and handled correctly, full activity of the reagents is retained until the expiry date indicated on the outer box label.

On Dry Ice or Blue Ice.


One unit will incorporate 10nmoles of dNTPs in 30min at 72°C.
