Single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) are single-base variations at specific sites in the genome. The frequency of SNPs is about one in 300bp in the human genome, making it one of the most frequent sequence variations. High resolution melt (HRM) and duel probe-based analysis, are examples of methods used for SNP genotyping. SensiFAST HRM Kit is a post-PCR analysis method of characterizing nucleic acid samples based on DNA strand dissociation behaviour during transition from double-stranded DNA to single-stranded DNA with increasing temperature and is low throughput. SensiFAST Genotyping Kit uses a dual-labeled probe assay fast, precise and highly reproducible genotyping and can be used for high throughput.

      "We are using the Bioline SensiFAST SYBR No-Rox Mix for our qPCR studies. We have compared the mix to the Roche Lighcycler 480 SYBR Green I Master Mix. With the Bioline SensiFAST mix, our targets regularly appear at lower Cp values and all primers tested work more reliably and consistently (see attached table for two examples of primer efficiencies determined with the Lightcycler and the SensiFast kits). Furthermore, Bioline technical support always answered our queries very promptly and in great detail and the SensiFAST mix costs us less than half the price of the Lightcycler Mix."

      We compared the Bioline SensiFAST Probe Hi-ROX master mix to a qRT-PCR master mix supplied by a leading competitor for our microRNA qRT-PCR studies. We found the Bioline product to consistently produce lower Ct values, as well as being more cost-effective.
