- Optimized 5x reaction buffer for PCR
- Two inert dyes for easy orientation during DNA electrophoresis
The 5x MangoTaq™ Colored Reaction Buffer contains two inert dyes (red and orange) that separate during gel electrophoresis and provide quick reference points for monitoring the mobility of the DNA samples in the gel. The red dye migrates at 300bp on a 2% agarose gel. The orange dye migrates at 30bp on a 2% agarose gel and <10bp on a 1% gel.
The colored reaction buffer can be loaded directly onto an agarose gel for analysis, without the need for separate gel-loading buffer. The presence of the dyes has no effect on routine enzymatic manipulations, although rare exceptions may exist. For high-throughput applications, the colored reaction buffer and MangoTaq DNA Polymerase make an ideal choice, since this combination enables the user to load the PCR products directly on a gel to allow visual recognition.

Storage & Stability
All components should be stored at -20°C upon receipt for optimum stability. Repeated freeze/thaw cycles should be avoided.
When stored under the recommended conditions and handled correctly, full activity of the reagents is retained until the expiry date indicated on the outer box label.
